Subject: RVP has issued the following Service Bulletin regarding the operation of their thermostats.

Effected Part Numbers- 8330-331, 8330-335, 8330A331, 8330A335, 8330B331, 8330B335, 8330C331, 8330C335, 8430-331.

A condition was found when switching through thermostat modes in a certain way that can cause the Compressor not to come on in the Auto Cool Mode. This only has the potential to occur if the thermostat is set and running in either the Fan Hi or Fan Low Mode then setting the thermostat directly into Auto Cool Mode bypassing the Off position.

If this occurs, setting the thermostat to the Off mode for 15 seconds, then setting the thermostat back to the desired mode of operation will result in proper thermostat operation.
